A special application of fully automatic filling machines – reverse osmosis
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a membrane separation process that uses pressure above osmotic pressure as the driving force and selectively permeates a membrane, allowing only water to pass through and preventing solutes from passing through, to extract fresh water from a body of water. Like a molecular filter, it effectively removes dissolved salts, colloids, bacteria, and organic matter from water.Alternatively, under pressure, the solvent (such as water) in the solution is forced through the semi-permeable membrane into the low-pressure side of the membrane in the opposite direction to natural osmosis, achieving an effective separation process. Simultaneously, to prevent dissolved salt impurities in the raw water from focusing on the membrane surface, concentrated water continuously washes the membrane surface during operation, carrying away impurities from both the concentrated water and the membrane surface, thus realizing the entire process of reverse osmosis desalination and purification.
